BACKSTORY: Coming into her womanhood was a bad time for Adrienne Henderson, she coupled up with a childhood friend who didn't treat her with much respect once sex was in the equation. When it all turned ugly, she ran away from him and her family in rural Kentucky to start a new life, with a new name. She worked her way through community college in Cincinnati and stayed there for a while. until she didn't want to be there anymore either. She came to Minnesota for a new job, and then it all went to shit.

PERSONALITY: Jackie's a miserable human being. She hates herself and she hates everyone else too. She craves a sense of control in her life that she mainly achieved prior to the apocalypse by not letting anyone else be involved in it. She's emotionally cold and deceptive with those she is forced to interact with in order to keep the situation at a level she can manage at all times. She finds liking people to be physically painful and deems it a weakness that will inevitably get everyone involved hurt. Views herself as damaged and toxic, and if forced to keep company prefers it to be other toxic people; sets herself up to be hurt by refusing to believe in the genuine, preferring the obvious shittiness of shitheads. At least she knows what to expect from them, genuine people are always confusing and surprising her and hurting her in the most oblivious ways.

She's a liar and a hypocrite, and won't be bothered to be called out as either. Viciously bitter, deeply insecure, she's... a miserable human being. Miring around in the depths of her own anxiety and depression with occasional bouts of self-harm and suicidal ideation. She may come across as very strong willed, but she's fragile physically and emotionally. She's a bunch of a shards of glass held together with masking tape and her own two bleeding hands.

She desperately needs a friend, but would actually kind of rather die than admit that, so being her friend or god forbid her lover is a tiring and thankless task in which she spews invective and abuse to try to get you to go away.

She can be softer with teens, has no patience for kids.

She wears a ring like she's married and her official driver's license has a hyphenated last name, but she doesn't talk about whoever that is and he's not around either. She talks even less about her youth in Kentucky, which is to say not at all. Had a female lover who she grew very close with, at some point, accidentally talks about her sometimes when she doesn't mean to. Dominique would be the only person in the world Jackie might be happy to see post apocalypse, but doooesn't think she deeeserves it.

Has food problems when stressed, either not eating at all or doing weird ritualized things to her food before deeming it consumable.

What, besides dying or seeing a loved one die in the zombie apocalypse, are they most afraid of? Snakes.

What do they do in high stress situations? Do they work through it or freeze up? One on one with a monster, she freezes up. But if someone else can face the monsters, she can do puzzle solving or whatever the hell else very well.

What makes them respect or trust another person? Nigh on inhuman patience for her bullshit. Good head on their shoulders, stands up for themselves.

What makes them hate or look down on another person? Being flippant or exploitative of the rights of others. Being spineless or ignorant.
